About Young Starlets

Founder:

Mr. Raj Ratan Rana, the visionary behind young starlets, is a successful businessman whose love for cricket inspired to start his own cricket club "Young starlets" way back in 1986 in Ahmedabad. It has been over 20 years, Mr. Raj and his team has never looked back. The club has gained respect over years to become one of the premium clubs in the major cricket leagues in India and abroad by giving quality platform to deserving cricketers.

Mr. Raj, cricket enthusiast, once had dreamt of playing professional cricket, today he has fulfilled his dreams and is also assisting deserving talents to achieve their dreams by providing world class platform and tremendous exposure. He also sponsors the players for their gears and other expenses to make them free from financial pressure. He wishes to take his club and its team members to higher level and become India's best domestic club in coming years.

Mr. Raj loves to indulge himself in all matches and has details of every match played by the team. He believes in quality that reflects not only in his work but also in his team performances. He loves to collect different types of playing card, have large collection of mini souvenir cars, varieties of match boxes and large collection of movies.

Team

Young starlets began its parade in 1986 and are now marching ahead as one of the premier club in the top cricket leagues in India, UK and Bangkok. It is highly respected club in Gujarat which plays both major and minor cricket tournaments with subsequent victories every year. Young Starlets has a history of taking players to foreign wickets like UK and Bangkok and aspiring to take them many other places. For past 25 years it has always been a top performer in every league tournament played in Ahmadabad & different cities of Gujarat. Its players have been playing for the Indian national team, state teams, the IPL T20 teams and respected county teams in UK. Till date more than 350 cricketers have proudly represented young starlets and many more talents will get chance to perform in years to come.

Young Starlets formed in 1986, is one of the oldest clubs in the city. Young Starlets has given deserving players a chance to play all over India and abroad. From the Likes of Mukund Parmar and Surender Amarnath in the 80s to current players like Parthiv Patel, Siddharth Trivedi and Amit Singh. More than 350 players have turned out for Young Starlets. For the record, Young starlets have won 59 titles including 7 in England and Bangkok. Parthiv, Siddarth and Amit still turn up for Starlets when they have no State or Zonal Engagement. The club has a rich legacy. Almost every big name in Gujarat has played for the team.
