The Pioneer

The founder of Young Starlets, Mr. Raj Ratan’s main role is that of a scout. Mr. Raj says “I travel around the city to watch local tournaments. If I feel a lad has talent, I will ensure he gets a chance if he wants to be a part of my club. I give talented players cricket gears and also take care of their expenses so that they can full fill their dreams without worrying about financial barriers. Till date almost every big name in Gujarat has played for us.

Welcome to Young Starlets

Young Starlets formed in 1986, is one of the oldest clubs of the city. Young Starlets has given deserving players a chance to play all over India and abroad. From the Likes of Mukund Parmar and Surender Amaranth in the 80s to current players like Parthiv Patel, Siddharth Trivedi and Amit Singh. More than 350 players have turned out for Young Starlets. For the record, Young starlets have won 59 titles including 7 in England and Bangkok. Parthiv, Siddharth and Amit still turn up for Starlets when they have no State or Zonal Engagement. The club has a rich legacy. Almost every big name in Gujarat has played for us.

Ten - XI - “Now twenty -20 just got shorter Ten-XI”

The shortest version of cricket now has competition for even shorter version. As the name suggest, each side gets to blow just 10 overs, and the rules are heavily loaded against batsman. It’s like shrinking a one day match to the final 10 overs.
